The Tragic Story of St. Nun Who Feigned Madness

I stumbled upon the story of St. Isadore, the Nun Who Feigned Madness. She was cruelly beaten and mistreated by her fellow sisters at the convent who thought she was an ignorant fool. She ate only the crumbs of their bread and when she did so, she ate alone. She wore a dishrag on her head. She was made to do the lowliest of chores and served without complaining. She is considered one of the first “fools for Christ.” Lesson learned: Nuns sure can be mean ass bitches, yo.

Alternative morals of the story:
1. Don’t pretend you’re stupid or people will treat you that way.
2. It’s OK to treat people like shit if, ultimately, God gets the glory.
3. Even godly, moral people can be jerks sometimes.
4. Dishrags are for dishes.
5. If you don’t eat a nutritious diet, you deserve to be beaten by nuns.
