I've decided to put more exclusive content here on this site that is not offered on DA or Neosynthesis and will begin doing some spring cleaning, keeping only a couple dozen images posted in those galleries. Some of the exclusive content you will be able to find in the Special Content area in days to come will be Apophysis resources such as gradients and fractal flame packs. Also, you'll find some of my more popular images, new screensavers, and wallpapers never released elsewhere. You will need to have a Blogware account in order for me to give you permission to view this special content. This is to keep the hotlinkers at bay, and also to provide an opportunity for personal relationships to grow between myself and the few people who keep up with my blog. Signing up is quick, easy, and free.
Also, my husband Mike has a new section called “Mike's Rants” but has yet to post anything. He's a funny guy who's always interesting, so I hope you will enjoy reading his articles when he posts them.
So what have I been up to lately? I've been busy working on a few projects. The highschool I graduated from has asked me to design a new logo for them, so for the last couple weeks I've been busy working on some protoypes from which they will choose and I will make final alterations next week.
I am still working on an etching, but it won't be done any time soon as I am also working on some new ideas that derived from projecting fractal images and tracing the lines on canvas. I hope to find more time for those next week, but this week will continue to be a busy one for me.
We are wrapping up another Apophysis contest at DA. Myself and 2 other administrators will be judges this time around. If you'd like to take a look at all the great entries for the Banner Contest, they are listed here: http://apophysis.deviantart.com/journal/4547991/
The members of Neosynthesis are putting together a new Chronicle full of great imagery. It's top secret, so I can't show you what I've contributed thus far, but I can say that I've got another piece in the works, and I hope it will be done in time to be added before the Chronicle is released. You might want to browse through the galleries there, because all of the artists are very talented, representing a wide range of interests.
Also, next week I will be a guest speaker at Baker College for a graphics class taught by a friend of mine. I will be talking about designing web graphics and other elements of web design. I'm really honored and excited so wish me luck!
Mike and I plan on seeing Constantine tonight. Anyone see it yet? Also, I have parent/teacher conferences later this week… and a dentist appointment. Oh joy.
Have a good week yourselves, and be excellent to each other!
Sounds like you have some really awesome projects in the works. Can't wait to see how they turn out. 🙂
constantine was pretty good. not as good as i thought it was gonna be.
Hi, I've found your blog today because I was doing a search for an Apophysis tutorial. The link on your blog from September 2004 no longer links to your tutorial, but I ended up sticking around because I found other interesting things on your blog. I'd of course still be interested in reading your tutorial if you still have it and can get it to me.
