LEAP is an acronym for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, a group of current and former members of law enforcement officials that was founded in 2002. Their message is simple. The war on drugs has failed. They propose that a system of regulation would be better than prohibition because it would be less harmful and more ethical.
“The mission of LEAP is to reduce the multitude of unintended harmful consequences resulting from fighting the war on drugs and to lessen the incidence of death, disease, crime, and addiction by ultimately ending drug prohibition.” link
