AutoTypist is a freeware typing assistant/spell checker that has so many features, I'd even be willing to pay for it.
AutoTypist can recognize misspelled words as soon as they are typed, and can change to the suggested correct spelling simply by pressing the Ctrl key. This process is fully customizable and triggers can be made not only for misspelled words, but for finishing commonly typed phrases and words as well. The program can also spell check highlighted words(s) but the limit to this feature is a maximum of 100 words. AutoTypist offers many other easy-to-use features, one of which is the ability to set transparency settings to the windows the user is working in. It can also display the cpu usage percentage, date and time in the caption bar of the topmost window.
The program also has the ability to change to all uppercase or lowercase, capitalize all words, capitalize sentences, or capitalize paragraphs. It has a Power Clipboard that stores up to 995 different items that have been copied to the clipboard. Clipboard items are automatically saved on shutdown and re-loaded upon startup too! Bonus! The program also sounds an alert when the CapsLock key is turned on or off, when the Insert key is pressed, or when a program comes into focus.
This install mechanism creates a link to the program, the help files and the uninstaller in the Start menu. The program can be configured to launch at startup if the user desires. The uninstaller completely removes all files.
The help files are locally stored and are also available by right clicking the icon in the task bar. An email address is offered in the documentation for those seeking technical support.
As an added precaution, AutoTypist can backup and restore the users current settings, triggers, clipboards, dictionaries, etc.
