Buckham Alley Theatre is the WORST theatre in Michigan

This place is a bloody freaking joke, miscast, poorly directed, poorly selected plays, dirty conditions, run down appearance, etc. Basically they are frustrated wannabe thespians who were denied real parts in high school. Now they are desperately seeking their second chance at any pathetic local fame they can achieve as they ruin the nights of theatergoers who would like to have a chance to see a production.
I like to give local places a chance because I feel supporting the arts is important, but these people do not deserve your support. After ruining our night last night they magnify the insult even MORE by updating their website with information pertaining to the play I had wanted to see that they are NOT ACTUALLY PERFORMING. You can see the story from yesterday here in case you missed it.

I am not surprised since the quality of their website appears to be that approached by a 16-year-old, clad only in underwear, sitting in their mommies basement running MS word and saving as HTML. Add in that one of the DIRECTORS (Greg) of the Greater Flint Area Art Council took a credit card order for a production that is ADVERTISED in the paper, and on the website WHICH IS NOT BEING PERFORMED!
I wash my hands of the demonstrated incompetence of the following;
Greg at the Greater Flint Area Arts Council
The Greater Flint Area Arts Council
Buckham Alley Theatre
I hope in a way that these bloody BASTARDS screw up and charge my credit card, because I will make their lives a living hell.

  1. Ooo the anonymous coward making statements!
    I hope you realize that you have no value whatsoever in society. No matter how loudly you whine, no one cares because you lack the courage of your conviction, and cannot stand behind your comments. When I wrote this article I did so expressing my opinion, you merely did the net equivalent of whining that mommy and daddy do not love you while huddled under your blankets be cause they took your candy away. I am an adult, and you are just a child wishing me death. Next time you leave mommy’s basement, be careful, you might have to stand behind your sadly pathetic belief structure.

  2. I happen to be a faithful thespian of the buckham alley theate and I hope you realize how much work goes into that place, or maybe the fact that buckham has had some of the best shows in the flint area year after year. Don't believe me? Come see escanaba on da moonlight this weekend in frankenmuth and you will not be dissapointed, unless you're looking for dissapointment.

  3. I take it you cretins have never heard of fringe theatre? I have driven all the way up from the Detroit suburbs twice now with my girlfriend to enjoy the plays Buckham Alley puts on. I saw the Nutcracker one year and a Christmas Carol another. We both truly loved them. It's the storytelling many of us miss in this day and age. To add to that I like not getting ripped off on ticket prices.
    I rounded out some of my studies in London, UK and attended many local theatres that they called Fringe theatres that would put on all kinds of performance art. Some were downright odd while others were Greek mythology but all were quaint little neighborhood theatres just like Buckham Alley is. It's a shame that ignorant adolescents have to bash such an extraordinary job that the players at Buckham Alley perform. It's things like Buckham Alley Theatre that is all Flint seems to have going for it now. Maybe there should be more. Why not make Flint a performance city like Stratford Canada. Just please, don't charge the ticket prices that they do. If Buckham Alley is gone I hope they come back. If what you say about the Flint Arts Council is true then this is the problem with small town America. Too much ignorance and lack of vision.
